Summerfest 2011 will take place June 29 – July 3 and July 5 – 10, from Noon until Midnight daily. Summerfest will be closed on Monday.
The World's Largest Music Festival and Milwaukee's cornerstone summer celebration attracts the music industry's hottest stars, along with emerging talent and local favorites. The 23,000 capacity Marcus Amphitheater, 10 additional stages, diverse selection of food and beverages, marketplaces and interactive exhibits are set against the Lake Michigan and downtown backdrop, creating a festival experience like no other.
There are specific items that cannot be brought into Summerfest. Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. reserves the right to alter carry-in policies at any time. Currently, these items include, but are not limited to:
- Backpacks
- Large bags
- Other carry-ins
- Outside food
- Cans, glass or plastic bottles
- Alcohol
- Contraband
- Pets
- Professional Grade Video Equipment
- Recording devices
- Laser pointers
- Lawn chairs
- Skateboards
- Inline skates
- Coaster wagons
- Kites
- Frisbees
- Picnic baskets
Performers and Summerfest management strictly prohibit flash photography, video and audio recording in the stage areas. Your equipment may be subject to confiscation.
If you have a reason for photographing a specific performer you MUST receive written permission from the artist prior to bringing your equipment on the grounds. You should also obtain an on-site contact for any day-of-show credentials. Artist credentials do NOT include admission to the festival. Professional equipment is NOT
